Enhancing Efficiency and Quality in Business Review Meetings: Full Participation is Key
On September 6th, Dingzhen Platform's weekly Business Review Meeting was held as scheduled in the third-floor conference room. Managers from various Group functional departments and Xinghui Elderly Care Service’s President Chen attended the meeting. Group President Mr. Tao was present and provided relevant guidance and training.
Since May 2025, the President’s Office has required all subsidiary companies to strengthen the effectiveness of their Business Review Meetings and fully utilize meetings as a tool to unlock operational potential. A Business Review Meeting is a goal-driven activity, necessarily focused on analyzing issues, identifying strategies, deploying resources, and assigning tasks relative to phased operational targets. The fixed element is the meeting cycle, not merely a routine gathering devoid of outcome focus. Taking Dingzhen Platform as a model, the President’s Office is defining and establishing a template for highly efficient meetings. Each session invites subsidiary General Managers as needed to attend, learn, share insights, and collectively grow.
As a new force within the Group, Dingzhen Platform directly confronts market competition while refining its team through transformation. It encounters a complex array of both new and recurring issues, with intricate and diverse internal and external demands. Through continuous refinement over more than three years and the effective use of meetings as a tool, its operational management landscape has become increasingly clear, serving as a practical and actionable reference playbook.
Following this meeting, Investment Department Manager Zeng, Finance Department Manager Wang, and Xinghui Elderly Care Service’s President Chen expressed their learning experiences. They noted that Dingzhen’s meeting preparations were exceptionally thorough, pre-meeting communication and role assignments were rational and scientific, and the level of participation from every attendee was high, making the entire meeting pragmatic and efficient.
In his concluding training and guidance, President Mr. Tao stated: Business Review Meetings are for addressing phased issues within the operational process. Topics should not be overly broad, nor should there be too many – two or three are sufficient. The key to ensuring the success of such meetings lies in changing the prevalent habit of "passive attendance": failure to study meeting materials in advance, failure to contemplate issues beforehand, and failure to prepare opinions ahead of time, resulting ultimately in the organizer or General Manager alone "reciting" the meeting. Therefore, all departments and subsidiary companies should take this as a reference point in future meeting organization, continuously reflecting, summarizing, demanding improvement, and implementing corrective actions. The goal is to swiftly enhance the quality of meetings and thereby achieve tangible operational results.
